Book it as early as possible.
All permits are administered through a government agency. It is sensible to have your gorilla trekking holiday as early as possible. It enables you to have the ticket as limited permits are allowed by the government! Permits are readily available during the wet season or low season, but it would be a good idea to secure your permit six months in advance. Taking the help of a tour operator is the best way to get the permit easily.
Booking the accommodation close to the Safari starting point
Ensure that there is a suitable lodge close to the starting point of your gorilla safari. It will save you driving a long distance before you start trekking which is not ideal.
Take a proper rain jacket.
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a rainforest. There could be rain at any time during your trek. Combine your track with proper hiking shoes, and keep plenty of water and walking sticks. Then you’re good to go.
