5 days Uganda Primate Safari offers Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla trekking where you will meet face to face with them for at most 1 hour while Chimpanzee habituation, allows you to stay closer with the chimpanzees for 4 hours
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale
On arrival at Entebbe airport, The driver will pick you up and transfer you to Kibale forest national park with a stopover in fort portal for hot lunch before proceeding to the hotel where you will have accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation
Early morning after breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for the morning chimpanzee habituation experience which will make you stay longer with the chimpanzees than the standard chimpanzee trekking, you enjoy an almost a full day with these great apes right from the time when they are still in their nest up to the time they will be breastfeeding their young ones and other daily activities, you stay with them for 4-6 hours, after proceed to our hotel for dinner and overnight chimpanzee forest lodge
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi forest
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up from Kibale national park heading to Bwindi and pass through the Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions and other animals, proceed to Bwindi reaching there in the evening for a night as you relax for the gorilla trekking
Day 4: Gorilla trekking
Have an early morning for breakfast by 6:00 am, by 7; 00 am leave for the park headquarters to have the briefing about the do’s and don’ts, and to take you through the briefing process for trekking. You will be allocated to your respective gorilla family, where the trekking will take 4-5 hours, You will have time to encounter these primates and take photos with them for memory. after the trekking is done, you return back to the lodge for relaxation, in the evening we shall visit the pygmies community/ Batwa the ones who used to live in the forest, and we shall have some time with them enjoying their cultural performance and cultural norms. After returning back to the hotel for overnight
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
Morning breakfast, after we shall leave for our 7 hours drive to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo cultural center, proceed to the Equator for photography and souvenirs as you say bye-bye to the pearl of Africa. this makes the end of the 5days of gorilla trekking and chimpanzee habituation.
