Detailed itinerary of 7days cultural tour
Day 1; Arrival in Moshi and a transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
Upon arrival at the airport in Moshi, our guide will meet you up, welcome you and brief you about the 7 Days – Tanzania Culture Tours. You’ll then be transferred to Lake Manyara National Park on a 210-kilometer journey, an approximately of a 3-to-4-hour drive that you shall arrive in time at the lodge and proceed for a breathtaking afternoon game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park. The Park is among Tanzania’s most intensely wildlife areas comprising of enormous but shallow soda lake, lake Manyara at the bottom of the Rift Valley’s western escarpment covering two-thirds of the park. The park is a habitat for various wildlife like the large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake, the famous tree-climbing lions also inhabit the park including one of Africa’s largest assembly of elephants can also be spotted within the park. You’ll return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2; Transfer to Lake Eyasi
You will have an early morning breakfast and embark on a 110-kilometer journey to the shores of Lake Eyasi. Upon completing the 2-hour drive, you will check in at the lodge, have a relaxing lunch, and proceed to scenic soda lake, lake Eyasi. The lake is located on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area lying at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. While at the shores of Lake Eyasi, you will be introduced to the extraordinary people of an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ often referred to as the hunter-gatherer bushmen. The Hadzabe are part of the Nilotic-speaking Datooga tribe. You will also visit their homesteads to understand more about their way of life, medicinal plants, animal tracking skills and so much more. During the walks around the lake shores, you’ll also be able to view a wide range of wildlife and bird species. you will then return to the lodge, have a delicious dinner, and have an overnight rest.

Day 3; Hunting experience at Lake Eyasi and a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation area.
On day 3, you will wake up and have an early morning breakfast ahead of your hunting experience. You’ll then proceed to the village for a local hunting experience with the Hadzabe people which is not just a simple activity but a very top-notch activity. Since the bushmen rely on these skills and techniques for survival, you’ll need to be attentive and quiet at some times during the hunt as they will be demonstrating their skills like the use of locally made poison to disable the animals that they hinge on for survival. You’ll then return to the lodge for lunch and embark on a 1hour drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Upon arrival at Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you shall go for a drive to a Masai Village to get an insight into the Masai way of life by meeting with the village elders, visiting the bomas, visiting a local school, and many more. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 4; Transfer to Serengeti National Park
wake up, have an early morning breakfast, and decline over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater to get views of wildlife inhabited around the crater that is supplied with water all year round by the fodder. The crater is home to vast animal varieties like Giant African elephants’ wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, leopards, and cheetahs among others. You will also visit the large but shallow alkaline lake, lake Magadi located in the southwestern corner side, flocks of flamingoes and other water birds can often be seen here. Return to the lodge for lunch and commence on another 3-hour drive to Serengeti National Park with some stopovers at Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey first discovered skulls of man which are linked to the chain of human evolution. You’ll arrive at Serengeti National Park, and check in at the lodge for dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 5; Full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Day 5 begins with a leisurely breakfast at the lodge then you immediately embark on a full-day game drive at Serengeti National Park. The game drive animal viewing activity shall provide you with longer sight-gaining opportunities of the various wildlife and nature species parked within the park. during the drive, expect to encounter animals like Cheetahs at the Barafu Kopjes, Lions at the Ngare Nanyuki River area, Giraffes, Buffalos, leopards, and many more. Also expect to see bird species like weavers, secretary birds, Kori bustard, Fischer’s lovebird, vultures, Southern ground hornbill, Grey-crested helmet-shrike, grey-breasted spurfowl, woodpeckers, Black-headed gonolek, Spur sterling, Black Eagles, Ostriches, rufous tailed and many more. After the game drive, you shall return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and rest.

Day 6; Morning game drive in Serengeti National Park and a transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After having a relaxed breakfast, you shall be taken for an early morning game drive around Serengeti national park on the search for animals that you must have missed out on the previous day. The morning drive allows you to see the nocturnal animals as they retreat back to their places of rest including sights of some herbivores creatures that are grazing around the park. you will return to the lodge for lunch and head for Lake Manyara National Park on a 210-kilometer journey. Upon completing the 3-to-4-hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park, you’ll check in the lodge for dinner and night’s rest.

Day 7; Visiting the local Market and villages around Manyara and transfer to Moshi for departure
On the last day of the safari, you will have an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and pay a visit to the local market and villages around Karatu to gain experiences of life in the local village setting by meeting the local people to learn and understand about their culture, history of the area and many others. You will then be transferred back to Moshi town which will mark the end of our 7 Days – Tanzania Culture Tour
