WHAT TO EXPECT
Day 1: Pickup at the airport and a transfer to the hotel
Depending on the time of your arrival, our guide/driver will pick you up from the airport, brief you about the 8-Day Trekking Tour in Uganda’s Forests and drive you to the hotel where you will check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure as you await dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have a leisurely breakfast and check out of the lodge then embark on a transfer to Kibale National Park for another engaging experience. During the drive, you shall be coupled with views of forests, peasant farms lakes, rivers, and other scenic natures along. Arrive at Kibale national park and check in to the lodge for relaxation as you await a dinner and a night rest.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale national park
Take your early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for an orientation about the chimpanzee trekking activity. You shall then be accompanied by an experienced guide on the search for this great ape that you will encounter within the forest as they as they swing from one branch to another. The trek is also advantageous with other primates such as Columbus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. In the evening, you will also head into the Bigodi swamp to see the vast flora and fauna. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 4; Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Have a hearty breakfast, check out of the lodge, and embark on an approximate 130-kilometer journey southwards to Queen Elizabeth national park. You shall arrive at the lodge, have dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Early morning game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
Have a healthy morning breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive. The drive shall enable you to gain views of nocturnal animals as they retreat to their dens after a busy prey-hunting night. Expect to encounter animals such as leopards, lions, buffaloes and hippos, and others including both the migratory and resident bird species. After the drive activity, return to the lodge, have a delectable lunch, and head in for a leisurely boat ride on Kazinga Channel which is a 32-kilometer-long natural channel linking Lake Edward to Lake George. During the boat cruise, you shall gain views of numerous wildlife creatures for example, hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, and bird species like cormorants, kingfishers, herons, hamerkops, starlings, and martial eagles among others. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and rest.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have an early morning delicious breakfast and proceed for a 250-kilometer transfer journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the transfer journey, you shall pass via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park which is inhabitant to the tree-climbing lions. Arrive in Bwindi’s impenetrable national park, check in to your lodge, have dinner and an overnight rest

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi’s impenetrable national park
After a morning healthy breakfast, head in for an orientation at the park headquarters about the gorilla trekking activity. You shall be provided with a trained game ranger who will accompany you on the lead to the forest on the lookout for the amazing creatures. During this trek, you will not only see the gorillas but also spot other wildlife creatures like primate species such as blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, grey-checked mangabeys, vervet monkeys, and various bird species. After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge for a dinner and night’s rest.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport for departure
On the day last day of the tour, you will have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and head in for a transfer to the airport for departure. Depending on the time of your scheduled flight you can have a brief city tour around Kampala. This is where you tour ends.
