The overview
Sipi Falls is a picturesque chain of three falls with heights of 100m, 85m, and 75m located in Kapchorwa, a district northeast of Sironko and Mbale. The waterfalls are located near the Kenyan border on the outskirts of Mount Elgon National Park. This three-day safari includes hiking along the base of Mount Elgon, visiting all three sipi waterfalls, admiring the stunning views of the mountains and distant plains of the Karamojong in Karamoja, and passing by the Sabin people’s neighborhood villages and coffee farmlands, on the way back to Kampala have a stop at Jinja to visit the source of the Nile

The detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Sipi Falls
After breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from your residence or lodging and take you to Sipi Falls in eastern Uganda in a 5 to 6-hour journey, taking in the beautiful scenery along the Kampala-Jinja highway, vistas of tea plantations, sugar plantations, and the cool breeze of Mabira forest. Check in to the lodge for lunch and relax before continuing on to the Sipi Arabica coffee tour knowledge and community stroll of the Kapchorwa community and their way of life, taking approximately 4 hours from the time the coffee seeds undergo roast to the time it is completely processed. Return to your lodge for dinner and the evening.

Day 2: Full-day hike of Sipi Falls
Have breakfast at your lodge, followed by a briefing from the guides from the area to learn what to do alongside what not to do, and also the duration the trek will take. You will climb to the first waterfall using a walking stick, then descend sloping to the second waterfall. You can pick between a short or longer path via fruit farms and communities to the water fall. One waterfall is ideal for a short shower, and you can even go for a chilly swim before hiking to another waterfall to explore the 100-meter-deep caverns. Salt and mineral minerals abound in the caves. You will snap as many shots as you want while admiring the gorgeous green foliage and environment. Return to your lodge for lunch and some rest before setting out for the third waterfall the largest of Sipi’s three waterfalls, measuring roughly 100 meters, dinner and night rest at the lodge

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast while admiring the views from the restaurant before departing for the trip back to Kampala. You will stop for lunch along the trip at Jinja by the Nile, take a visit to the Nile’s source afterward continue the journey to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your place of residence or lodge, bringing this safari to a close.
