Arrival in Entebbe & Botanical Gardens Birding
Welcome birding walk at Entebbe Botanical Gardens.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel near the shores of Lake Victoria. In the afternoon, enjoy a gentle introductory birding walk at Entebbe Botanical Gardens, spotting species such as Grey-crowned Crane, African Fish Eagle, Great Blue Turaco, and various sunbirds and weavers along the lakeshore.

Mabamba Swamp — Shoebill Stork Tracking
Full-day canoe expedition for the legendary Shoebill.
Depart early for Mabamba Swamp, one of Africa's best sites for the rare Shoebill Stork. Glide through papyrus channels in a traditional canoe while scanning for Shoebill, Papyrus Gonolek, Blue-headed Coucal, African Jacana, and Malachite Kingfisher. Afternoon birding around the wetland edge for herons, egrets, and raptors.

Transfer to Kibale Forest — Bigodi Wetland Birding
Drive west to Kibale; afternoon at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a birding hotspot with over 200 species including Great Blue Turaco, White-spotted Flufftail, Papyrus Canary, and Black-and-white Casqued Hornbill. The community-run sanctuary also offers glimpses of primates.

Kibale Forest Canopy & Understory Birding
Dawn walk targeting forest specialists and primates.
Early morning forest walk in Kibale targeting canopy and understory species: Green-breasted Pitta, African Pitta, Rwenzori Turaco, Black Bee-eater. In the afternoon, continue birding along forest trails with chances to see chimpanzees and red colobus monkeys in the same habitat.

Queen Elizabeth NP — Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel for waterbirds and wildlife.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa's best waterbird spectacles with African Skimmer, Pink-backed Pelican, Martial Eagle, African Fish Eagle, and large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles along the banks.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Birding
Drive to Bwindi for Albertine Rift endemic birds.
Transfer south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Albertine Rift endemic hotspot. Afternoon birding walk targeting African Green Broadbill, Shelley's Crimsonwing, Rwenzori Turaco, Bar-tailed Trogon, and over 350 species recorded in this ancient forest.

Bwindi Full-Day Birding — Ruhija Sector
Full day targeting rare Albertine endemics in Ruhija.
Full day birding in Bwindi's Ruhija sector, one of the best locations for Albertine Rift endemics. Target species include Grauer's Broadbill, Handsome Francolin, Dwarf Honeyguide, Kivu Ground-thrush. The montane bamboo zone offers unique habitat and birding unlike anywhere else in East Africa.

Lake Mburo NP — Savanna & Lakeshore Birding
Transfer to Lake Mburo for acacia woodland species.
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda's only park with true savanna habitat. Evening game drive and birding targeting African Finfoot, Red-faced Barbet, Tabora Cisticola, Brown-chested Lapwing, alongside zebra, eland, and impala.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary — Rhino Tracking & Birding
Track white rhinos on foot and bird the sanctuary grasslands.
Transfer north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda's only location for white rhinos. Walk with rangers to track rhinos on foot while birding the surrounding grasslands for Pennant-winged Nightjar, Grey-crowned Crane, Shoebill Stork, and savanna raptors. Afternoon continuation toward Entebbe.
